Role and Responsibilities:
  • Defining and designing the solutions required to deliver the IT Strategy
  • Defining and ensuring technical governance is followed by the development team
  • Technical guidance, mentoring and coaching the development teams
  • Breaking down complex technical problems into solutions the business can understand
  • Running company initiatives to investigate and demonstrate how the latest technology could be used to create a competitive advantage
  • Leading development teams through business growth and / or transformation
  • Creating a stable and scalable architecture to support business growth
  • Defining the services architecture
  • Creating the framework and foundations for the development team, i.e. Data First and DevOps
  • Creating team challenges or company initiatives, such as hack-days, that would add value to the team and/or business
  • Hands-on coding in Microsoft technologies

Your profile:
  • Experience in designing scalable and resilient enterprise solutions using Micro Services and/or Enterprise Service Buses
  • Technical mentoring of developers; in-house, nearshore, contractors and 3rd parties
  • Very broad experience in software development, on the Microsoft stack, ranging from Coding, DevOps and QA
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff
  • Evangelist for Lean, Kanban or Agile methodologies
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • The ability to prioritise, work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • A constant desire to learn about software development by attending or participating in conferences, meet-ups and events

You will work with product managers to maintain and execute a backlog for creation and modification of services.
